Islands of Belize
Islands of Belize
I wish I had gotten into underwater photography before visiting Belize, because the beauty beneath the surface was some of the most mesmerizing I have ever seen. Sadly, I don’t have any good photos from the underwater world, but the ones I do have are included in my travel stories about Belize.
Here, you’ll find the beauty above and around the ocean. I visited San Pedro and took a trip to the iconic Belize Blue Hole. I stayed in Hopkins and Placencia on the mainland, with their white sandy beaches and bright green palm trees. I went to the remote Sapodilla Cayes, where I spent a week diving and hunting invasive lionfish among the beautiful coral reefs. Followed by a week of relaxation and snorkeling on the tiny Tobacco Caye.
Belize’s ocean destinations are a true paradise. Scroll down to explore the islands of Belize, or read more here about the stories behind the photos.
