Coastal Guatemala

El Paredón was my home away from home. The first time I was here, I stayed for two weeks. 14 days spent with morning beach walks, writing at coffee shops, watching the captivating sunset, and photographing the more physically active people around me. I loved it. The smell of salt, the dry hair, the slow life. Even the daily happy hour of mosquitoes didn't bother me. And remember when Peeta from The Hunger Games said his favorite color was orange. ‘‘Not bright orange. But soft. Like the sunset.’’ See the colors change from a quiet pink to a soft orange, and you might understand what he meant.
