Camouflaged

I am dressed and packed
in all shades of green
trying to see the world
or hiding from my dream

I’m traveling alone
miles from all that I know
only to find love
in a person dressed like home

It’s everyone's wish
but is it mine
grounded by the earth
while looking at the clouds
seven…eight… nine…

Maybe it’s better to stay here
camouflaged by Mother’s green

You may have guessed it already. I met someone while traveling, something I didn’t expect or even want, for that matter. I was conflicted about what to do. Keep on traveling alone, or exploring this other life adventure. I wasn’t even sure what my dreams in life were anymore. It completely challenged my views and wants. I wrote this while I was on a bus headed to a new place, knowing I would see him there again.
