Coastal California - USA
Coastal California is rugged, beautiful, and serene. Big cliffs and wide open beaches meet world-famous cities, alongside two national parks with wildly different landscapes.
Starting in the south, Laguna Beach has rocky shorelines and tall palm trees, while the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles shows a more urban side of the coast. Stunning sunsets in Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara painted the sky in colors you won’t soon forget. Pinnacles National Park introduced rugged geological formations, Monterey combined dramatic ocean views with whale sightings (view more wildlife photos of the USA here), while San Francisco stood out with its iconic landmarks. Further north, at Sue-meg State Park and Redwood National Park, the coastline becomes wilder and quieter, where massive redwood trees meet the Pacific Ocean.
